COMMITTED TO A GREENER TOMORROW
Solar-Powered Operations
To reduce reliance on fossil fuels, we have installed a comprehensive solar power system at our facility. This shift to renewable energy significantly cuts down on our carbon emissions and energy costs. Not only does this power our daily production activities, but it also reflects our proactive approach to tackling climate change and promoting green energy adoption within the manufacturing industry.

Reduces Carbon Footprint
By generating electricity from a renewable source, we significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional power usage. This move aligns with global efforts to combat climate change.

Lowers Long-Term Costs
Solar energy helps us cut electricity bills and reduce peak demand charges—especially important in energy-intensive industries like packaging. These cost savings allow us to remain competitive.

Improves Energy Independence
With solar energy, we’re less dependent on the national grid and protected from fluctuating energy prices. This stability ensures uninterrupted production and better control over power supply.

Sustainable Manufacturing
Our solar-powered operations contribute directly to our green manufacturing goals, allowing us to offer more eco-conscious packaging solutions to our customers. It also enables us to meet sustainability requirements set by global brands.
ELECTED AS MPMA COMMITTEE
Elected as the committee of Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA), WAN LY actively participates in nationwide campaigns, workshops, and education programs that encourage recycling and responsible plastic usage. We believe industry players must take the lead in driving public awareness and change. Through our involvement, we not only stay updated with the latest sustainability standards but also contribute directly to Malaysia’s circular economy efforts.
JOM KITAR SEMULA
As part of the Jom Kitar Semula campaign, our team visited various schools to educate students on the importance of the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Through engaging talks and live demonstrations, we showed how recyclable plastic products can be processed into usable resin, reinforcing the value of recycling and how it contributes to a circular economy.
Don’t Be a Litterbug
We also proudly joined the Don’t Be a Litterbug program, where we provided recycling bins to schools and our fellow MPMA member companies. These bins encourage students and employees alike to cultivate recycling habits within their daily environments, helping to foster cleaner, greener learning and working spaces.

Responsible Logistics
Our transport team ensures all resin materials are properly contained and secured during loading, unloading, and delivery. We also inspect vehicles to prevent accidental spillage.

Pellet Containment
We also install mesh filters on floor drains to capture stray pellets and we implement proper Vacuum systems for efficient clean-up of spilled materials.
Operation Clean Sweep
We also participate in the Operation Clean Sweep program, a global initiative aimed at preventing plastic pellet loss during production and transport. At WAN LY, we’ve implemented stricter housekeeping and handling practices to ensure zero pellet leakage into the environment—contributing to cleaner waterways and a healthier planet.
Use of Recyclable & Eco-Friendly Materials
We take careful consideration in selecting raw materials that are recyclable, reusable, and lower in environmental impact. From our plastic cushioning to our film products, many of our items are designed to be recycled after use. We also work closely with customers to offer sustainable packaging alternatives that reduce waste without compromising performance.
Eco-Innovative Product Development
Sustainability starts at the design stage. Our R&D team continuously works to develop smarter, lighter, and stronger materials that offer the same level of protection using less plastic. For example, by adjusting formulations and incorporating advanced film technologies, we’re able to produce thinner yet tougher packaging, which reduces raw material use and carbon footprint in transport and disposal.
